Disk total size Ubuntu

Hi.
I have a 20GB samsung ide sv2044d with Ubuntu 10.04 running fine on it.

Boot the Lubuntu 10.10 install cd and erased the Ubuntu ext4 and swap partitions.
Created new partitions (ext4/swap) with the Lubuntu 10.10 installation cd.
I get a warning that says the swap was formated but the kernel doesnt know it yet and
recomends to reboot the system.

After this i decided not to install Lubuntu and put the Ubuntu 10.04 Install cd.
Now I create partitions and install Ubuntu, when its complete I boot from the hd and seems to have no files on it! nor Grub.

A detail is that the total size of the hd reported by the ubuntu install cd was 19.6GB
and after Lubuntu it is 20.4GB

Any clue?

If you have installed Ubuntu once there is no reason not to do that again.Delete all your partitions and install Ubuntu.After that if you don´t want to use Gnome and you want Lubuntu do this from terminal
