Help for best advices to create a *.ORG site: mysite.org

Hello,

I should find a way to create a *.org free or not. I guess to have its own *.org, e.g. WhatIwannahave.org , you have to pay 10 bucks around a month. Which website/provider/way would you recommend?

A wise experience advice would help a lot !

Take a look at http://www.ucoz.com/ They are free...for basic however you can pay to upgrade but the free package is pretty good. I'm not sure if you can get a .org but there are many types of URL's avail and they may. Stable servers and HTML customizable....

.Org top level domain names generally have the same price and availability as .Net or .Com unless ICANN has changed things. I've had a .Org for our LUG for about 5 years now and it's around $15/year each time it's up for renewal. I don't think there's anything special you need to do to register a .Org domain.

As for hosting, I like HostGator or 1and1, but there's TONS of them out there. If you can afford or want a VPS then go with Linode.

This (http://www.google.com/a/cpanel/domain) is by far the easiest way to get a domain and a server up and running quickly.
