I want to re-install my system.
I have XP Pro on one partition.
Actually, let me briefly describe the current setup. I'm open to change it.
Windows XP - NTFS 25GB
another NTFS partition 25GB (both full)
I thought I would use a partition manager to adjust the partitions. I'd like my ntfs partitions larger.... I will have an extra drive for windows files later but I think I might need the partitions a little larger.
I currently have a separate, dedicated grub partition (ext2) but I suspect this doesn't have to be done anymore? I am using grub legacy, currently.
I have a few 20gb partitions with ubuntu/kubuntu and debian. I was going to use a 100gb partition for the new Ubuntu 10.10 install. I want to use Virtualbox.
If I move my partitions around, my grub will be wiped out so I wouldn't be able to boot my Windows until the Ubuntu re-install is completed, right? I am just wondering how dependable grub2 is these days.
The HDD is a 320GB WD SATA drive. The DVD burner is also SATA.
Any recommendations?
