Where's the right place to post feedback / bug report? The recent repository update to kernel 2.6.32-26 appears, instead of updating grub2 (update-grub), to have installed grub2 fresh to my MBR.
Without getting too deep into the reasons my computer is set up the way it is, I need to maintain GAG as my primary bootloader. I have successfully restored GAG and updated GRUB2. I would like to provide feedback somewhere with the hopes of preventing this problem with future kernel releases, if possible.
For anyone interested in why this may have happened to me and perhaps not anyone else, here is a copy of the boot-script output for my setup.
Boot Info Script 0.55 dated February 15th, 2010
============================= Boot Info Summary: ==============================
=> GAG is installed in the MBR of /dev/sda
#### NOTE: sda is a RAID 0 member - this is misleading. ####
=> No known boot loader is installed in the MBR of /dev/sdc
=> No known boot loader is installed in the MBR of /dev/sdd
=> Syslinux is installed in the MBR of /dev/sdf
=> GAG is installed in the MBR of /dev/mapper/isw_bffgigeeac_SYSTEM
#### NOTE: GRUB2 is installed in sdd2, I'm sure you're wondering...####

Without getting too deep into the reasons my computer is set up the way it is, I need to maintain GAG as my primary bootloader. I have successfully restored GAG and updated GRUB2. I would like to provide feedback somewhere with the hopes of preventing this problem with future kernel releases, if possible.
For anyone interested in why this may have happened to me and perhaps not anyone else, here is a copy of the boot-script output for my setup.
Boot Info Script 0.55 dated February 15th, 2010
============================= Boot Info Summary: ==============================
