hey.
i have a 160GB portable harddisk and i want to install ubuntu in one of its partitions.
But the problem is, when i start the installer it starts fine... first screen "Welcome", fine...next, "Preparing to install Ubuntu", when i press forward here, the cursor goes busy. i thought it'll just take some time, but even after hours, it's the same. i again tried with the HD unplugged, it still took some time but it went to the next screen.
I just need some way to install it on the HD. Any help will be appreciated.
