View Full Version : [all variants] Perfect MB for Ubuntu 10.10 (and future)

November 28th, 2010, 10:46 AM

I will build a new comp soon, and i search for a board who are fully compatible with Ubuntu 10.10 (and future). Fully equal : perfect video, sound and lan working.

Here are the ones i've seen so far.

-ASUS M4A87TD Evo (http://ncix.com/products/?sku=52676&vpn=M4A87TD%20EVO&manufacture=ASUS) (seem working)
-Asus M4A87TD (http://ncix.com/products/?sku=52677&vpn=M4A87TD%2FUSB3&manufacture=ASUS) (seem working)
-MSI 890GXM-G65 (http://ncix.com/products/?sku=51285&vpn=890GXM-G65&manufacture=MSI%2FMicroStar) (seem working. first choice)
-Gigabyte 880GMA-UD2H (http://ncix.com/products/?sku=52047&vpn=GA-880GMA-UD2H&manufacture=Gigabyte)
-Gigabyte 890GPA-UD3H (http://ncix.com/products/?sku=51021&vpn=GA-890GPA-UD3H&manufacture=Gigabyte)
-ASUS M4A89GTD PRO (http://ncix.com/products/?sku=51007&vpn=M4A89GTD%20PRO%2FUSB3&manufacture=ASUS) (seem working)

My preference are for a matx one. Video on board. But if a ATX one are better on Ubuntu...

If one are not on the list, feel free to post it, but i want to order from this shop.

The rest of the build:

-Seagate 7200.12 500 GO/or a little SSD.
-2 go memory. (dont know which brand)
-NSK3480 for a matx MB seems good. But maybe less on the power supply side...
-no DVD drive.

Thanks for your help.
