WHAT HAS HAPPENED TO UBUNTU? Last week i updated 10.04 on my notebook & was unable to do the windows ubuntu boot. Now today after a update on my tower, I get another boot failure 'file not found' think the file was 'loadfonts'. Both machines are running windows7 with the imbedded ubuntu. As bad as windows is i never had this trouble with update on windows. Anyone got any ideas? T

Hi,
by "imbedded" do you mean a Wubi install?

Can you still boot Windows normally?

For a description of the problem and some possible solutions see here:

Color me easy. Got another update to the kernel & figured ubuntu had corrected the problem. Fooled me once shame on u, fooled me twice shame on me. Had to edit grub.cfg & get rid of everything about the menuentry. Then booted ok.
