Hi all,

I have a somewhat unusual request. In LXDE, I usually create a second panel on the left side of the screen with launchers for my commonly used applications. I have it set to autohide, but it pops out whenever my mouse runs over it (which is often.) I would like to have it only appear when I press a key. While I am aware of a third party application that can do this (namely apwal) it is tedious to configure and, more importantly, every time you launch an application it closes. My dillema is this - sometimes I want to only open one app, but sometimes I want to open five or six at once. Repeating the process six times is a waste. so my question is:

Is it possible, with lxde, openbox, or third party applications, to create a panel or other launcher, that will appear only when a hotkey (like super) is held down?
