I got my PC successfully dual booting XP and Ubuntu, and I decided to throw Ubuntu on a oan older PC so I burned another disc, stuck it in and it didn't boot from the CD, so I went into BIOS and disabled boot from hdd and it booted from CD, BUT.

As I type this its at the Ubuntu boot screen with the 5 dots and it acts like its loading but I've been waiting 20 mins and still nothing... No prompts nothing.

What the hell is wrong?

Then I bumped the key board and it spit this at me.

As soon as the computer starts booting from the disc, press any key and you'll gain access to a menu. It lists the option to "check the disc for defects". Check it!

And you might also need to check the integrity of downloaded image used to burn the disc.

If needed, burn a new disc and at the lowest possible speed this time (I use 4x).

I checked it first and the ISO is good, its checking the disc right now, so far so good.

Update - yep 1 error found on the disc. Gonna either find my disk I used for my other PC or burn a new one tomorrow.

Thanks for the info, ill put a solve label on here once its up and running though. Haha.
