I have always used HPs and never had any issue.

Right now, HP Laserjet 1020, 1200 and HP all-in-one F2120 are running just fine here.

I'll second HP, but when I have to spend my own money the wife and I are very happy with the networked (802.11g) Brother Color Laser we got for <$200. Their instructions on installing are not the best, but use the search the info I used is here.

I guess I should add I'm using it on 10.04 with the 32-bit drivers on a 64-bit install.

HP Printers work really well with Linux and Ubuntu... am using an HP Photosmart C4480 and it's great, scanner, printer, copier... :)

Hurry on out and grab an HP.

Seriously, we have several HP network printers here, all of which work just fine with Ubuntu.

At home I have a PhotoSmart 6100 that works as well, including the scanner. I also have a Brother HL 1440 that I have no problems with.

Going to pile on...

HP printers do work well with Linux/Ubuntu. HP even has Linux drivers for most of their printers (HPLIP).

I have a Photosmart C6280 AIO that prints ans scans perfectly with Ubuntu.
