Yo

Although I have been using Ubuntu for a while now, there's still a few things I can't work out.

The major problems I have are:

- I have installed Ubuntu onto my system using Wubi. I selected an install size of 30 gigabytes. I don't know how to find out how much of this 30 I have already used.

- I have had issues with unpleasant screen flicker, making my laptop quite difficult to use. I got rid of the flicker using this method: http://jimmod.com/blog/2010/06/solving-fixing-ubuntu-10-04-lucid-screen-flickerdistortion/. I cannot change the brightness of my laptop either. Are these common problems?

- I have the book "Ubuntu Linux for Non Geeks". It is based on Dapper Drake, but I have Maverick. How much of it is still valid?

If someone can help, I'd be happy.

Cheers, df -h worked fine. I'm reading the other stuff now.
