Your BIOS is set to boot the hard drive and if that does not work you must have it set to boot from the network. So it is not finding a good MBR??

To see what is installed where:
Boot Info Script courtesy of forum member meierfra
Page with instructions and download:
http://bootinfoscript.sourceforge.net/
Paste results.txt, then highlight entire file and click on # in edit panel(code tags) to make it easier to read.
Or You can generate the tags first by pressing the # icon in the post's menu and then paste the contents between the generated [ code] here [ /code] tags.

I have installed 8.04 on a separate harddrve and am working with tis, i don't need it for much so i'm alright with 8.04, only i can't get my flash player to work, i installed it like 3 times and it keeps saying it installs in the terminal but when i try to with the helper it says it can't find the installer.

i'll post this in a diffrent section since now the question has changed if nessecary
