This is a funny one. I've got a machine here running Ubuntu 10.10, on a Solid State HDD.
The system loads REALLY quickly, and we've disabled the login prompt, so it loads right into gnome desktop.
The quirk is: the "login sound" is really delayed (~5s). In other words, the desktop loads, and we can start using it, but then the sound plays 5s later...
Any way to tweak/fix that?
