I am quoting:
It is hanging up at loading in Ubuntu 10.10 (after OS choice menu) because of USB-hard disk with volume 640GB,Transcend, so hanging up at loading Ubuntu from DVD, the problem is solved disconnect USB-HDD at loading and connect at appearance desktop in Ubuntu.

I think that it is a bug. If it is no bug, please help, how make won't hanging up at loading? Too irritates constantly to disconnect and connect a usb-disk.

P.S. The same problem is observed and in Kubuntu and Xubuntu.
