Hi,
I have a long running problem with Compiz that I am really hoping someone can help me solve.
When editing a file in FileZilla (using gedit) if I save the file while editing, the file upload dialogue will steal focus which is extremely annoying since I'm often in the middle of typing (I save often as a habit).
I have checked with metacity, and this problem does not occur (at least with default settings). I have modified the Compiz focus prevention level; the issue occurs at both low, normal, and high. When focus prevention level is set on high, I start noticing other adverse effects as well so I wouldn't want to go any higher.
I would really appreciate help narrowing down the cause of this:
1. Filezilla's upload dialogue is abusing its priviledges in stealing focus away from gedit (unlikely)
2. Compiz has a bug in how it determines which application receives focus.
I suspect #2 is the culprit but I don't know how to proceed from there. Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks,
Cory
