Appearance > Visual Effects enabled = No VNC refresh ATI driver

Hi guys

I can't manage my Ubuntu pc at home via VNC when Visual Effects are enabled.

I found a solution here to "disable" the effects and it will restore VNC control ability: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=810592

But I found out that bug was resolved (marked for NVIDIA driver), however I have an ATI graphics card and can't have VNC and Visual Effects.

Any workarounds to have Visual effects = on and VNC Remote access working together?

I have exactly the same problem, its a little anoying. Hope someone has an idea of how to resolve it...
