On one of my Ubuntu installations, when the Package Manager is running (to check for updates), its sunburst icon does not appear on the LXDE panel for some reason. XFCE is the other desktop environment installed and it does appear on the XFCE panel.

Is there something (window/file) that I can look at to see why it is not appearing on the LXDE panel?

I have LXDE also installed on other computers and the icon appears as expected, it's on this one system that it does not. It previously had the "386" kernel installed, but I removed that last night and replaced it with the "generic" kernel as the CPU is an AMD K6-2 (3-D Now) 500 MHz, but I have not as yet booted up that system today.

Thank you in advance for any suggestions. :)
