Why Virtualization?
- Increase your hardware utilization
- Save of electricity and reduce Carbon Dioxide
- Reduced physical hardware and fewer maintenacne personnel is required
- Simple backup and restore operations
A virtualization featured CPU (such as Intel VT or AMD-V) is required for the full virtualization by Kernel-based Virtual Machine (KVM). Please check the CPU vendors website to confirm.
Proxmox VE has a control panel for easy deployment and installation. Proxmox VE is Open Sourced. I prepared a tutorial for how to install it at ease.
The tutorial is here. (http://samiux.blogspot.com/2010/11/howto-virtualization-platform-by.html)
