Upgrade samsung n150 kills wireless

Guys i upgraded my daughters Samsung N150 from 10.04 to 10.10 and all went well except wireless connectivity is now broken. If i revert to previous kernel via grub its fine. The wireless system sees all available networks but endlessly tries to connect. I have two networks and it cant connect to either. I deleted the connections and made new ones and its still the same. If i plug in a TL-WN321G it works fine. Did something get broken in recent updates or did i do something wrong.
