In update manager, I attempt to upgrade and I get the following...
Could not fine the release notes
The server may be overloaded.
What is causing this? I am behind a proxy but have had no issues before with updates.
thanks in advance....

Did you try swithing to some other server preferably Main Server from System > Administration > Software Sources?
Then do,
sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get upgrade
update-manager -d

Does this command report an error at the end?
sudo apt-get update
And you can also try upgrade from command line.
sudo apt-get dist-upgrade
Please post the output.
