My partner has had a HTC Desire for a few weeks now and she love the speech to text feature on in, I've got to admit I'm rather impressed with it as well!
The question I have is this available in Ubuntu? If not is there any good open source speech recognition out there that does the same job? I'm thinking it might help the cause is getting the missus on Linux ;)
