First off, Hi all. I am new to Ubuntu Forums. Sorry if this has been asked before, but I am unable to get a display on my TV, nor am I able to get a command prompt on the serial port :-) Help please...

nothing after this, it just hangs... there are some leds blinking on the board though, but nothing else.

Sorry I would love to help but I have absolutely no idea what a Beagleboard is :p, is there any more information you can give us about your hardware? What exactly is it you installed Ubuntu on?

At the very least if I can't help, I can welcome you to the forums! Welcome and I hope this issue gets solved :D

This is something I'd like to do. Where did you get the Ubuntu you installed on your Beagleboard?

If its not specific for the Beagleboard, it probably lacks an X server that will work. Try one of the boot options to boot to a console (terminal).
