Hi! I had my Gnome packages crushed so... I've reinstalled gdm, gnome-session etc.
After that I can see logon screen and even log on but Gnome session doesn't start.
$ gnome-session
gives me: unable to open display ""
I've trying reconfiguring of xserver, checking permissions etc, etc, etc... I've spent hours googling of any reasons and solutions and trying them, but I haven't got any results. So... Could you give me any (even unbelievable) explanations why it is "unable to open display"? Reinstall of system is quite undesirable for me.
