I am trying to install 10.10 on my netbook (Acer D150), but when I get to the partitioning section, there is no option to "install alongside windows". I only have 2 options, wiping the disk, or manual partitioning. What do I have to do to get a dual boot WinXP and ubuntu running? I already have winxp installed on a 160gb HDD with about 120 gb free.

I always partition in advance with gparted as I want to be sure of the sizes of my partitions and then use manual install. I understand they have regressed on the install capability - see first link.
