Low disk space may be the reason for slowness, especially if Ubuntu is installed inside Windows. Can you post the output of the df -h command to check the available disk space.

Hello,

Thanks for your reply.:)
Here it is, it's in Dutch, but i don't think if there's anything
changing exept the titles.

Bstndsystm Grtte Gebr Besch Geb% Aangekoppeld op
/dev/sdal 7,1G 3,3G 3,5G 49% /
none 237M 248K 237M 1% /dev

Kind regards,

That looks ok, as far as the disk space. What version of Ubuntu are you running? It's possible that turning off desktop effects will help. Also, if you are running the latest netbook version, aka Unity, don't expect too much speed. It's basically kind of a beta release, which hopefully should mature for April.

Can you give me the link?

If you want a netbook optimized interface, which imo is a good idea for a 10 inch screen, then the 10.04 netbook edition should do. You could also try 10.10, the desktop interface, just select it at the login screen, under Session.

Yes, it should be faster and more stable. The current iteration of Unity still needs to mature quite a bit to become usable.

Hm..., not sure. Have you tried searching for the exact error string?
