Hi Everyone,
I acctually asked this question in an other Forum as well (http://www.ubuntu-forum.de/artikel/54032/kubuntuinstallation-startet-nicht.html) . But nobody answered so far so I'm hoping someone from here could give me a hand.

So I acctually already installed Ubuntu 10.10 but it is not working properly so I wanted to install Kubuntu 10.10 (64-Bit) which didn't work either. My Laptop is a HP tm2, it has a switchable graphic card (ATI, Intel). So my Problem is now that the only thing I get when I want to start the installation from my USB is: SYSLINUX 3.82 2009-06-09 EBIOS Copyright (C) 1994-2009 H. Peter Anvin et al

The Problem is, since neither Ubuntu nor Kubuntu nor Windows works I can't get any more information about my laptop... which pretty much sucks xD.
Either way someone can help me.

Thanks in advance :)

Further Infos:
I tried to install Ubuntu 10.10 as well and it stopped at the exact same position.

Let's begin with the beginning. Does it work when booting a live CD or USB?

What are the problems with 10.10? And is it still on your HDD or you wiped it?

How was the USB prepared? Did you check the integrity of downloaded image?

Try with some other USB creation tool. Some alternatives listed here.

I myself prefer unetbootin.
