Hello,

I installed a fresh Ubuntu for my netbook
from: http://www.ubuntu.com/netbook but i've
got a problem, i want to install something and
then it says that i need to authenticate..

Exa.:
---------------------------------------------------
| (x) Authenticate |
---------------------------------------------------
To Install or remove software,
you need to authenticate.

An application is attempting to perform an action
that requires privileges. Authentication is
required to perfom this action.

Password: [ ]

> Details
[Cancel] [Authenticate]
---------------------------------------------------

What should i do now?

Regards,
Ihsan

Type your password, as you entered it during the install process. :)

If you forgot your password, you can reset it following these instructions:

Hi

I have never used the netbook edition so i might be wildly wrong here.
Try entering your password and see if that works.

EDIT: ahh beaten to it

Kind regards
