Hi All,

I have successfully installed Ubuntu netbook remix on a bootable ive usb, and can successfully boot into ubuntu NR 10.04, no problem. I want to do a full install onto my netbook, as a dual boot system, also running wondows 7 starter.

On startup, I select the "install from usb" option from the boot menu, and progress through the configuration steps without issue. However, once the installer begins to install ubuntu 10.04 onto the netbook, I get an error message stated that partition tables could not be created, because the installer failed to unmount /cdrom. I checked this out, as my netbook doesn't have a cd/dvd drive, and this appears to be where the live usb is mounted in the main filesystem.

Could anyone shed some light as to why this keeps happening, and also what I need to do to correct this......

Cheers,

Brian
