Access NAS through FTP

Hello,

I'm running a ftp server (vsftpd) and it works great. I've mounted my NAS succesfully. In the past I could access my NAS via ftp through the desktop shortcut.

Since I updated to Ubuntu 10.04.1 LTS the shortcut disappeared in the desktop folder. The shortcut is still on my desktop. I don't know if this makes any sense and if I'm right. It has been a while I worked with Ubuntu for the last time.

Can you give more info about your config ??!!

Ip range, ip adress of the machines, the link of your shortcut, how do you access you NAS, how did you do in the past ?
