How to upgrade the kernel of Ubuntu 10.04 LTS (lucid) to the kernel of Ubuntu 10.10 (maverick), or to the latest Canonical supported Ubuntu kernel. Thanks!

Each release of Ubuntu has the kernel released as part of that version. Only security fixes are backported. Unless you want to compile yourself you cannot easily upgrade.

You easily upgrade by upgrading or installing the newest version.
