Hi guys, I have been using Ubuntu for some while now and I realize that many wallpapers have large, centered ubuntu logos. I quite like these kinds of wallpapers so its a shame that the login window is also smack-bang in the middle of the screen. Is there any way to shift the login window to the side, say the corner so that the login splash can be displayed in all its full glory? Either that or is there a way to enable transparent login windows? Did these options exist in the old GDM? Because the new one is really not customizable. ):

I see no way to do this in the configuration editor or with Ubuntu Tweak. Finding a background with an offset logo is possible but won't give you the look you want.

*Sigh*... )':

Any other login window managers that can be more easily customized? I came across SLiM the other day, any others? I really dislike the large-solid-box login window.
