Ubuntu added icon to vista thumbnails

Files copied from Ubuntu to Vista get a small icon on the bottom left of the Vista thumbnail, as attached image shows. I've not noticed this before. Can someone explain or direct me to find out more information on this please.

Seems like a permissions tag to me. Go to Properties > Permissions and Own those files (from Vista). That tag might go away. I m not 100% sure though.

Just to confirm, that was exactly the problem. I have amended the permissions and the emblem / small icon on the bottom left of the Vista thumbnail is now gone. Thank you very much for your help!
