Hello all. I will (hopefully) be running into some cash soon and decided to upgrade. I was thinking about purchasing a new netbook (Asus Eee 1015PED, if you must know) and modding it heavily. However, I still have a Dell Mini 10v that I decided to try to mod instead. There is a lot I want to do to it, and need some advice. First, the things I am going to do for sure: 2GB RAM upgrade, New LCD panel, Bigger Hard Drive (500GB Maybe?), Graphics accelerator (kinda like a helper card thingy that makes stuff work a lot better and takes CPU load off) and New/Bigger battery(s). My next few items I need to know if one, they're possible. And two, how you would recommend going about it/which products to buy. One is replacing the lid of my netbook. It's got a lot of scratches, a big crack, and it attracts fingerprints horribly. I would like to replace it with a matte lid. Is this even possible? Which product in particular would be a good choice? Next is the wireless/NIC card. I would like to add 802.11b/g/n to this little machine. It's a NETbook so it should be able to use the NET faster than just 802.11G. Third is graphics card. I don't think this is possible because it might be sautered onto the motherboard, but I'm not sure. Any confirmaton would help. The very last thing I would like to replace is the keyboard. It's got some quirks, and I don't mind the Dell Keyboard, but I don't like a big dent caused by my own stupidity.

Basically, I want to take everything apart and re-build it with new parts. Some will say "Why not just buy a new computer?" Well, because then I wouldn't get to play with it as much :P I think this will be a great learning experience, in addition to giving me a better machine. Any suggestions?

Oh, forgot to mention, I would like to upgrade the webcam. The one currently built in sucks. Bad. So yeah, if this is possible, I'd like to do it. :D

Alrighty, thank you!!

Any suggestions on what is possible and what isn't? Or how I should go about installing the hardwares?

Okay, so I think I've figured out the parts I want. Does this seem like a reasonable list?

Vertical Green Stripes LCD Back Cover (http://www.parts-people.com/index.php?action=item&id=6884)
6 Cell Battery (http://www.parts-people.com/index.php?action=item&id=6746)
320GB HDD (http://www.parts-people.com/index.php?action=item&id=4988)
16GB Flash Drive (http://www.parts-people.com/index.php?action=item&id=5558)
320GB External HDD (http://www.parts-people.com/index.php?action=item&id=7300)
Broadcom Crystal HD Enhanced Hardware Decoder/Accelerator (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16816321016&cm_re=crystal_hd-_-16-321-016-_-Product)

I can't seem to find a 10" LCD screen though, and that's one of the most important things. Any ideas?
