Hello,
Ever time I try to use Update Manager or Synaptic Package Manager I get this Error Message:
dpkg: parse error, in file '/var/lib/dpkg/status' near line 32831 package 'vim-tiny':
'Replaces' field, reference to 'vim-common':version contains `'
E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (2)
Any ideas on an easy way to fix this? I have been wondering if I just need to do a fresh install. Am currently using 9.10 on a Compaq laptop which is prone to overheating and "freezing", usually within 2 hours. Maybe time to install 10.04?
Thank you!
Doug
