Upgraded to 10.10 : KVIRC problems

I just upgraded to 10.10 from 10.04 today. Everything works great!

Not too many differences...

I did have one problem though. KVIRC looked different (weird and messed up) when I booted it up. I was on version 4.0.1 so I decided to switch to the 4.0.2 version available as .deb file on the KVIRC website. Nothing changed (did a complete removal in Synaptic before re-installing).

I've tried Google with no luck.

I can no longer make out the names of the channel rooms unless someone has said something and the dock icon on the upper task bar no longer hides/unhides KVIRC.

I was wondering if anyone else had encountered this problem and could offer me some insight.
