Anyone????

Posting the questions might have helped spark a little interest!!

When you say "odd", I assume you wont be asking "How do I hack a Windows PC from Linux?" :)

I'm presuming the OP doesn't actually (1) know the questions, or (2) know enough about information security to pass an interview.

Why you would need to know anything about info security to do collages is a mystery to me. Note -- the OP said "collage" class, but I'm guessing they meant "college" class.

I don't see how we could pass along enough info here to allow them to fake their way through an interview.

The way I read this is that the OP has a class and needs to interview someone with "IT security or deals with social networking" for the class.

Will that paper be written in English?

Well, if he started the thread using (albeit somewhat modified) English, this is a question to which the answer should be bleedingly obvious. Are you going to stop whining about his bastardisation of the English language, or help him out? He didn't post on here to be patronised/mocked.

If you have question related to security, why not check out the Security Discussions (http://ubuntuforums.org/forumdisplay.php?f=338) sub-forum. You can probably get most of your questions answered by just reading the threads.

look i need 1 PERSON not the hole community

once someone steps forward this thread will be done and rest will be done via PMs, personal e-mails, or what ever we can set up

i hope there is no offense here

The Cafe section is pretty much the Trolling section of this forum (which is why I have been spending so much time here). I doubt real IT security people will be hanging around here (there may be some in the security sub-forum, but I this is just a guess).

Why not pose a few questions to better help us understand exactly what you'll need answered.

And please keep the discussion on the forums for the benefit of others.

This is the best place for none support questions. You aren't asking for support, so it'll stay here.

My suggest is that you list down a series of question in numerical order and let the member answer or direct you to a proper website. Why do you need that 1 particular person to answer your question? Are you looking for the 1?

If you haven't found anyone by Thursday, drop me a note. Something to remember though: "All of us are just one people" - Author Unknown.

Also, once you have your findings, you should post up your information after the work has been completed and turned in. Would be good to pick it apart and see what kind of security person you find. For the sake of humility and privacy, keep the name of the person you interview under wraps though. Even the best security expert can be thwarted by the most noobish hackers.

sorry to keep you all waiting

here are the questions that i had came up with

i know that it is a short list

i must thank the person that had stepped foreword for me but i will let him name himself if he chooses to

1. How secure is the Internet?
The internet is insecure. To make it secure you need to add a layer of
security, for example the Secure Sockets Layer (SSL), which is secure.

2. Truest and fundamental differences between HTTP and HTTPS
The Secure Sockets Layer is the only difference. That is what the S in
HTTPS stands for.

3.what are the different types of hacking?
The original form of hacking is to make furniture with an axe, adse or
chain saw. The geek way is to create spaghetti code with vi.

4.What is you opinion on social networking sights? (Facebook MySpace,
Twitter, etc.)
Those are passtimes for youngsters (or oldsters). Working people use
Linkedin.

the finished paper is still coming

Well that's something interesting to do especially in a college local network. Well you know it's always nice to clean the bad britney spears music from the hard disks and replace it with something more classy or replacing the porn movies with happy tree friends clips he he :-)

FYI SSL can be tunneled, man-in-the-middle.
