The date for the Dapper beta release is coming up soon, what does this mean in practical terms? Can we expect it to be much less buggy for example?

Right now it is in alpha. Once it enters beta it should be much more stable then alpha and it should be close to final release.

think about it...
Amazing. Browsing this forum it seems all you did today is make unfriendly comments. To many sweets for easter?

To the original poster, yes, we can expect this release to be more stable. In fact, dapper is even now quite stable in my experience. So if you were waiting to try out dapper this might be a good time to do it, though you should of course still keep in mind that it's not a stable release.

Well, beta means that the the development cycle has reached a more mature stage. It just means that there will be less large changes to the software and it will become more 'polishing' work than adding things.
