How do I clean install Kubuntu ONLY on a 298 GB HDD?

1. Boot> install> Erase HDD > Than?

Btw have XP MCE installed. 2 Partitions C & G both Primary, System & Data...........50 & 100 GB each both NTFS.

Have you backedup all your docs, pics, vids etc to external media? If not they'll get wiped when you install using your first description.

If you want to wipe all your existing data and partitions, simply choosing the "Use entire drive" will do everything automatically for you.

If you want to keep the other OS and partitions, please post the output of


sudo fdisk -l

As I mentioned you can use up entire disk without worrying for anything else like partitions, size, types, shared, mounted, unmounted etc :)
