need help installing conky

im on my netbbok at school and im trying to install conky but i cant figure out how. so can you guys help me?

edit: i just minimized everytying and its there, i dont know how but i dont care :P

Conky does not deal well with the 10.04 UNE desktop, as it will cover all the icons in whatever group from the left hand pane you have showing. I have no idea about using it with 10.10 unity desktop, as I have not installed that; I tried it and could not figure out how to do anything, so have gone no further with it.

Conky works brilliantly on the gnome desktop on a netbook, however, and I use it all the time on mine as I use gnome, not the UNE desktop.

If you need an example .conkyrc, let me know, as even if you have a different netbook, my version may be quite helpful.
