If you felt that Ubuntu vanilla was easy for newbies, then give Super OS a spin, all the stuff you need to get productive (multimedia, sound, flash, ubuntu-tweak, etc); Keep the Ubuntu vanilla theme, but just get started immediately.
LinuxMint-the user-interface wants to be like Windows--so if you like Ubuntu's UI, then SuperOS is for you.
