I've personally never tried Swiftfox, but I hear it's a streamlined version Firefox.

What is considered when default browsers for OS is chosen, and why was Swiftfox excluded? What about Google Chrome?

Swiftfox is proprietary and Swiftweasel hasn't been updated since 3.5 sadly.

Google Chrome is also proprietary, but they could always use Chromium. It's the devs choice to use Firefox.

Does Chrome has some advantage over Chromium?

To be honest I think they are almost exactly the same except for the google branding. Also Chromium is included in the repositories. Though I use Firefox and Epiphany myself.

I can't help but chuckle at the existence of Swiftfox.

Or the fact I used to use it a couple years ago.

Could you be more specific on this, please? Why did you stop using it? Is there something the matter with it?

Thanks for posting this message, for in advance for any further input.

Swiftfox comes in handy, on 64-bit systems, for viewing Veetle streams.
