A little advice please.
I want a lightweight slideshow screensaver (GLslideshow uses too much CPU for my liking). I would use qiv or chbg, but my pictures are spread over a directory hierarchy. I want all images from all directories (recursively) not containing a directory named 'small'. I'm hoping to scale this up and copy my archived images, so that I'd end up with tens of thousands of images (perhaps even a couple of hundred thousand) to randomly cycle through.
I'm guessing I can use a script (perl or a shell script) to choose the files and qiv to display them, but my knowledge isn't deep enough. I'd like a little advice.
