Is there a Pokemon game for Ubuntu that you do not need to make yourself (I have got Buntoids but I can not make new maps:confused:) If possible with long and fun game play.
If there is one please tell me because I am a Pokemon fan but I am selling my NDS.

There are NDS emulators, and there at least was a pokemon-like game being made not sure its status atm. Nvm it is buntoids i am thinking about. But there are NDS emulators. And you can download NDS game images to play on them. You however should hold onto your games though as to legally play said images you need actually own it.

I am keeping the games for NDS but one of the reasons I am selling my DS is because the games are basically just copies of the last one. I want a new region and new pokemon instead of just same game different game.
Sorry if I bothered you for nothing.

You could either wait for Pokemon White and Black or you could try Pokemon Online (http://pokemon-online.eu/)

Why sell your DS? I love mine! Just either buy new pokemon games or download them and play them via a flash card. Playing simple games on Pc is kind of a waste in my opinion. If you absolutely want to play them on pc there are emulators as mentioned earlier and online games created by fans.

Buntoids is a Pokemon game that is just for you to edit, it has no gameplay/story so you need to make new maps and edit the old ones.

Thanks for telling about the Pokemon Black and White, didn't know they were coming soon. Too bad Pokemon Online isn't Linux-supported, because it would be great to be able to run without WINE, but again, thanks for sharing! :)

If you do some research you can find the server and client files for Pokenet and setup your own Pokemon mmo. I did it before and it works pretty well (it is all Java).

But how do I get the files, everything says it is shut down.

Make sure subversion is installed, and run this command:

svn checkout http://pokenetonline.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/ pokenetonline-read-only

That will download all the source files, data files, and binaries.

Buntoids has been inactive for quite a while now...

...and my branch of that project, Four Star Mon, only runs on Windows... >_>

I need a Ubuntu developer here, stat.

Also, wasn't PokeNet banned by Nintendo? Just saying.

I have changed my mind about the PSP, and since I seam to be addicted to Nintendo, I bought a DSi and the game Wario Ware DIY.
I still have my Pokemon games but I need a new card(the ones that you put downloaded games on) because my cylco ds evolution does not work on DSi and I want to play my GBA games without a PC emu.
Thanks for the replies!
PS. I have been away for a while.

If you not want a emulator for the pc i believe you're posting in the wrong forum, and as far as i knew gba games doesn't run in the dsi, you have to get a special card name iplayer or something like that

How do I get the subversion, and when I run that command it keeps asking for a username and password, also the poknet online Google code website comes up with an error 404. I also heard that pokenet/Pokemon global have been shut down by Nintendo.

I am getting a DS2 flashcard for my DSi, it is supposed to be the best flash card for DSi yet!

Sorry for the wait for replies.:)

Just posting to say that Four Star Mon now runs on Ubuntu Linux!

Here's the website: http://fourstarmon.com/

It's a very introductory demo, though. To get an idea of how introductory: v.0.0.1.15. That is all.

I do use wine, but most things take AGES to install.

Also, Fourstarmon just does not run, I am better of playing Pokemon Denko...
