Hi fellow Kenyans,

I know downloading the Ubuntu OS in Kenya can be a pain in the :guitar:, coz of the internet cost and connectivity issues.

However you can get a free CD mailed to you via mail, by placing your request on https://shipit.ubuntu.com, Remember to select whether you want a Desktop (The Default option), Notebook or Server Edition.

You can thereafter make online upgrades easily, to be at per with the most current Ubuntu releases.

Please make a donation to Ubuntu to promote more shipments if you can.

I'm sorry to say that shipit is now closed:frown:. Ubuntu has cited on its web site that the program has run it's course and that to obtain copies one will have to download them. If you are in the coastal area feel free to contact me and i will get you a copy of the latest distribution let us not take this as a reason not to spread the opensource spirit.
