When I try to add support for Japanese via the "Language & Text" entry in the Administration menu I get a "Requires installation of untrusted packages" message and the action fails.

I have seen some threads about using PPAs for Japanese support, but I think thats only in the case of using development builds. I would like to think that base Japanese support should be available without having to tweak the sources.

Thanks!

Problem has disappeared?

I set about installing the components one-by-one from synaptic. I brought up the "Language & Text" panel and it prompted me saying something like "Language is not completely installed, install remaining components?" and when I replied it finished up.

Not sure what happened here, but in summary, I installed a few components from synaptic that I knew I would need, like anthy, and it thereafter it appeared to work.
