Does anyone know if there is a dock that is navigatable via keyboard? It's annoying to have to mouse over to the bottom of my screen ( I have 2 19" screens ) to get to my launchers every time as I love keyboard shortcuts. Additionally, such a thing would be awesome for laptop users as using a touchpad for such things can be equally annoying, even on small, single screens (IMHO).

Any ideas?

Also, if nothing like this exists, could such a thing be programmed in Python? I have no experience coding non-GTK pyApps, but would be willing to give it a shot if it's possible.

Gnome Do and Krunner can be used to launch programs. To switch between running programs I normally just Alt-Tab.

If you use compiz, in Compiz settings manager the first option is "commands"

You can set keyboard shortcuts for just about anything there.

I would recommend filing a bug report with Docky or AWN requesting this feature. Seems like it would be good to have.
