I am on the market for a work computer. I want something with durable hardware and wide screen. So I am thinking of getting a IMac 27-inch. But I wat to make sure that all the hardware is supported by Ubuntu.
Could you tell me if you tried this before?

Thanks

Unfortunately, this contains no up-to-date information about GNU/Linux support on the latest iMac models (iMac10,3 - mid 2010).

We have 27" iMac's at university, and after speaking with the guys that maintain them all, they say Ubuntu doesn't work on them at all.

Don't get me wrong, it's installed and gets to the login screen with the right resolution, but more than that I don't know.

Saying that - a quick search brings up this thread (http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1341331), which might help :)
