Not sure what's going on. I burnt one CD (as I'm running Mac OS X) and the CD drive on the PC I was installing it to kept spinning up and then stopping abruptly. I then tried to run wubi.exe, which was 'not a valid win32 application'.
I burnt another CD and it managed to boot into the splash screen. i clicked 'Install Ubuntu' - and it just hung.
I then checked the disc, and it said 'no errors found'
I rebooted, and - exactly the same disc spins up and stops abruptly. The computer gives up trying to boot from it and goes back to Windows.
Any ideas?
