Thought about using a mini-itx board? This is a good site to see whats what http://www.linitx.com

I use both a Jetway and Via EPIA embedded boards, the new Jetways even have the psu on the board so just need a 12v input to power it.

The Viglen MPC-L is a nice piece of kit but I have the feeling its not going to be that flexible when it come to be upgraded in future as a mini-itx based system.

i have contact with viglen and if anyone wants one i got following in an email :-

Thanks for your enquiry. The MPC-L is still available. It is £89.00 inclusive of VAT and delivery. The build lead time is 10 working days.
The MPC-L is installed Xubuntu version 8.04.

I am able to take payment by debit or credit card. If you would like to place an order, please call me on 01727 201 815.

After a olong time hunting and asking on different places ..

i have gone for a EEEpc box EB1007

it took me a couple weeks hunting on ebay for the best price in my range .. but managed to pick one up for £135 :D:D

i decided to go for the EEEpc after looking at spec's and then emailing viglen that they still only running 8.04 with NO upgrade , and it also looked a little under powered ..
I have no been running my eeepc on the tv for couple weeks and love it :D:D:D
it does all i wanted it to do and runs well , i have ubunutu 10.10 on it and run's real smoothly .. its not as fast as my pc but hey what do expect from atom processor and 1Gb ram ....
and i have also installed Boxee :p:p which run's great to .. so now got a media box too
