View Full Version : [ubuntu] How to change loginscreen

Hi.

I am a ****ing noob.
There for I am here, asking for help.

My question is simple. How the he** do I change my loginscreen. I have downloaded something from here : http://art.gnome.org/themes/gdm_greeter , but I do now know what to do.

You won't be able to use those unfortunately. They are for an old version of the login screen (GDM). Most Gnome distros are now using GDM2 which at this stage isn't themeable in the same way.

It is possible to change the login background but not the box by installing Ubuntu Tweak and using the login settings and importing a back ground from a folder of your choice. http://ubuntu-tweak.com/
